Welcome, race fans, to the 2010 Hammerhead Olympic Distance Triathlon (aptly named the HOT and not just because of the acronym) and NEW Sprint Distance Triathlon! The HOT/Sprint is held at the beautiful Camp Blanding Military Reservation, which is about 30 miles Southwest of Jacksonville (between Jacksonville and Gainesville - see the map for directions). The swim will be in Kingsley lake which is one of the state's pristine waterways (i.e no salt water and no sharks!) and usually very smooth for a fast race. The bike course will be entirely within Camp Blanding with little if any traffic, but with a few rolly-polly hills (two loops). The run will be a flat out and back (with little shade) but with plenty of aid stations to quench your over heated parched thirst. We have an awesome post-race party planned for you with plenty beverages to re-hydrate you and lots of good food to refuel you.
